  Shown in Figure 1 is an oscilloscope display of the signal level at the GA5C internal VCO tuning terminal (V-T) with DC only , no AC component.  Refer to the right side of Figure 1 for the following information.  Cursor 1 is on the base line and Cursor 2 is on the trace which produces a Delta V of 7.40 VDC.  This VCO drive level at the V-T terminal produces the GA5C output displayed by the spectrum analyzer screen image of Figures 2, 3, and 4.   The marker (MKR) is on the peak of the trace.  To keep the spectrum analyzer from being over driven, a 20 dB attenuator is required between the GA5C output and spectrum analyzer input.  The GA5C output power level is given for all 3 bands in Table 2 shown next.

  Figure 5 shows the oscilloscope display of the signal level at the VCO tuning terminal (V-T) with 7.40V DC and 6.00V P-P AC.  Refer to the right side of Figure 3 for the following information.  Cursor 1 is on the waveform valley and Cursor 2 is on the waveform peak which produces a Delta V of 6.00V P-P.  This VCO drive level at the V-T terminal produces the GA5C output displayed by the spectrum analyzer screen image of Figures 6, 7, and 8.  Refer to the bottom of spectrum analyzer display of those Figures for the Spectrum Analyzer (SA) Start and Stop Frequencies given in Table 1.
