>>> MICROWAVE SWEEP/SIGNAL GENERATOR <<<

  Shown in Figures 1 through 7 is a Microwave Generator Assembly producing 8 +/- 1 dBm at frequencies from 1.06 to 2.06 GHz on the front panel SMA connector.  See Figure 8 and 9 for frequency and power plots.

  For signal and swept frequency applications, the  front panel dial is used to set the center frequency (CF).  To generate a swept frequency (Delta F), connection of a triangle waveform from a function generator to the Generator back panel BNC connector is required.  Click on this hyperlink, MGA2K Delta F, for additional Delta F information.

  The MGA2K is supplied with a 36 inch length  power cable permanently attached for connection to the 11K18 DC power supply.  See Figure 7 for details.  Figure 2 shows the location on the chassis back panel of the DC power connections.  +18 VDC (Green) and -18 VDC (Yellow) connect to the chassis back panel feed-thru terminals, and common ground (black) is connected to a solder lug located on the lower center of the chassis back panel.
